The internship and live project experience are important components of the GIBS Curriculum because they allow students to connect academic study with practical application in the workplace. Internships provide students with an opportunity to gain hands-on experience working at a company, learn more about the culture of the organisation and apply theories learned in class to solve challenges faced by businesses.

Live projects provide students with an opportunity to work on real-time issues that the industry is dealing with; students will be required to analyze data, create strategies and make presentations to industry professionals on how they would approach these problems. These hands-on experiences help develop students' problem-solving skills, improve their decision-making abilities, build teamwork skills and confidence.

The curriculum is evaluated and updated periodically to account for trends associated with Industrial Revolution 4.0, while also including emerging disciplines like Digital Marketing, Artificial Intelligence, Business Analytics, and Fintech, resulting in students obtaining skillsets that both match the business landscape as it is today, as well as where it will be tomorrow. The inclusion of dual specializations, practical training modules, and interaction with industry practitioners enables students to adapt to the changing market and make themselves marketable across multiple industries.

The majority of companies will offer positions such as Marketing Executive; Business Development Executive; HR Executive/Recruiter; Financial Analyst; Relationship Manager; Operations Executive; or Management Trainee.

Graduates will enter the job market with the specializations of their choice (e.g., Marketing, Finance, HR, Business Analytics, etc.). Clubs are an important aspect of the leadership development process and give students real experiences where they can plan, organize and independently manage activities. GIBS offers a variety of different types of clubs (academic, cultural, marketing, finance, human resource management (HRM) and entrepreneurship) that provide students with the opportunity to develop responsibility by conducting events, coordinating with teammates, and managing budgets, and working with industry guests within their community. Through this hands-on experience, students also build decision-making capabilities, develop teamwork, and improve their communication and problem-solving skills as well as their time management skills. As students engage with their peers through leading initiatives and working on diverse teams, they will gain confidence and practical leadership experience that will prepare them for a career in a management position within the corporate world.

The biggest shock for me after starting at GIBS was the immense amount of practical learning and real business exposure that we received. The college actively engages us with guests speakers (who are often corporate leaders), and they take us on site visits to local businesses, have us do live projects, and provide access to personal mentors. The amazing support system (staff) and personal attention provided by the faculty, as well as their focus on developing skills, leadership ability, and personal growth all stand out as very different from what I expected from typical business schools. It's apparent that GIBS is very much not a traditional business school, but a school that is genuinely preparing students for the realities of the working world.
