JEE Main exam session 1 has been concluded. The JEE Main session 2 exam dates are April 2 to 9, 2026 for BTech programme for admission to IIIT Bhagalpur. As per the exam pattern of JEE Mains, the exam is conducted online as a Computer Based Test. JEE Main 2026 will have three papers, Paper 1 for admission to BE/BTech course, Paper 2A for BArch admission and Paper 2B for BPlan course admission. The duration of the JEE Main exam is three hours and has Multiple Choice (MCQ) and Integer Value (Numerical Value Answer) type questions.

IIIT Bhagalpur offers courses in undergraduate, postgraduate, Doctoral and Diploma level. Bachelor in Technology or BTech is the flagship course offered under UG level and under PG level Master in Technology or M.Tech is offered. As for the Doctoral-level PhD in multiple specialisations like CSE, CEC, etc., is available at IIIT Bhagalpur. And finally Diploma is offered in Digital Buisness Management ( Digital Marketing+Martech+Analytics).

IIT Bhagalpur has been ranked 28th by NIRF among the top IIITs of India. Also IIIT Bhagalpur has a good placement record. The highest package and average package offered during IIIT Bhagalpur placements 2023 stood at INR 46 LPA and INR 15.61 LPA, respectively. Earlier, the highest package and average package offered during IIIT Bhagalpur placements 2022 stood at INR 46 LPA and INR 12 LPA, respectively. The placement rate recorded during IIIT Bhagalpur placements 2022 was 98.85%.

MTech programme offered by IIIT Bhagalpur isn't free of cost. Candidates are required to pay the tuition fee amount of INR 2 Lacs at the end of the admission procedure.These fees are excluded of other fees that are payable only at the time of admission. Other than the programme fee candidates have to pay a application fee for the GATE exam while registering for the exam. The applicatipn fees are : Female/SC/ST/PwD candidates need to pay INR 900 while all other category candidates will have to pay INR 1800 as application fees. IIIT Bhagalpur M.Tech offers CSE in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. The overall rankrequird for admission to this course was 446 in 2022. However, it declined to 350 in the following year 2023. For admission in the CSE course candidates are required to appear for the GATE exam.

MTech application process at IIIT Bhagalpur is based GATE exam registration. Students need to register on the GOAPS website and fill the application form to complete the registration. GATE application fee ranges from Rs 850 to Rs 2200 dependin upon student category.
