I got 90 marks in JEE Main 2019. will I get admission for chemical engineering at NIT calicut. I belong to OBC-NCL and I live in Kerala.

With 90 marks in JEE Mains exam according to last year cut-off your rank will be in the range of 180000 - 200000. With this rank, I am sorry to say you won't be able to get any branch in any of the NITs but according to last year cut-off which was 81 marks you can get qualified for JEE Advanced exam

A person who has not cleared JEE Mains and scored 90% in CBSE board exam can get a seat in your institution for chemical engineering?

No, you cannot make it to any NIT without appearing or clearing JEE Mains, you have to clear or appear in the JEE main exam.

The admission into a particular college will depend upon your rank in the final rank list. Please check this link:

Sorry but my answer is no 86 percentile means about 6 lakhs rank in JEE Mains.
For getting admission in NITs you have to be in top 5 percentile even you have state quota of 50%. So study hard and next time get good marks.

Hello Jithin Sabu, From this year onwards NTA has decided to declare results based on percentile and not on raw marks. Hence it's tough to guess colleges based on your marks.
