Yes, Indian students can change their programme at VIU. However, it depends on entry requirements being met, availability of seats, and immigration rules. Complete and submit a Change of Program form.
The form needs to be submitted no later than 1 week prior to the start of the desired semester.
Contact VIU admissions team via viu.ca to know more.

All UG and PG degree programs offered by VIU are PGWP-eligible as long as at least 50% of these have been completed in person in Canada. However, completing a PGWP eligible programme does not guarantee students will receive the same.
The decision lies with the IRCC. To know more, check our FREE PGWP in Canada Guide for Indian Students

Vancouver Island Uni ranks between #40 and #60 among universities in Canada. Since it's focus is primarily on UG education, community engagement, and applied research rather than PG-level studies, it is unranked by major global bodies like US News.
Shiksha ranks it #36 among colleges and universities, nationally.

VIU is moderately competitive for Indian students to get into. It has an acceptance rate of 57%. However, it is generally accessible for Indian students who meet the academic and English proficiency requirements.
VIU does not have too stringent entry requirements for Indian students. Generally an average grade "B" in the last 2 years of UG studies is enough for entry to PG degree courses.
