Yes, it is important for Indian applicants to pay an enrollment deposit to the University of British Columbia. The amount for the same is CAD 3,000 which comes down to around INR 2 L for these students. 

Also, this whole amount gets credited towards the first year tuition fees at UBC. The students are supposed to accept the offer and make the payment by a certain admission deadline as set by this university.

English language requirements are there at the University of British Columbia for Indian applicants along with the minimum score requirements.  

Yes, the English requirement waivers are available at UBC Canada for students who studied in the English medium in India. To get it, the applicant should be able to provide the docs as given below - 

  • Letter from the school confirming English medium studies 
  • A Medium of Instruction (MOI)
  • High grades in English
