No, admissions to the IIT Madras is not possible without JEE Main scores as JEE Main is the major accepted entrance examination for admission to the BTech course. The JEE Main exam is also an eligibility test for the JEE Advanced. This exam is conducted for admission to major IITs. JEE Main is held twice a year, that gives students two opportunities to secure a good score. Students have the option to appear in one or both attempts.

No, IIT Madras is not hard to get for dedicated individuals. The mode of IIT Madras course admissions is online. IIT Madras admission to various programmes is done through national-level entrance examinations including JEE Main/ JEE Advanced, IIT JAM and GATE, among others. For admission to the flagship BTech programmes, candidates are selected based on valid JEE-Advanced ranks followed by the JoSAA counselling process.
