IIITDM Kancheepuram has been ranked as one of the top engineering colleges in India. Tamil Nadu. It was established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India in 2007. It is one of the two IIITDMs, the other one is IIITDM Jabalpur. The Institution has been ranked 184th in he engineering category. Also the placement record is decent, 85% of students got placed.
