Chitkara University in Chandigarh admits students based on both merit and entrance. The university accepts national-level entrance exams like: MAT, XAT, CAT, JEE Main. 
 
Admissions depend on the following criteria: 
 
  • Merit in the entrance test
  • Marks in the qualifying examination
  • Meeting the minimum eligibility requirements
The university also accepts Pearson Test Scores and SAT Scores for admission.

Admission to BN College of Engineering and Technology is based on both. In undergraduate courses like BE, 85% seats are filled on the basis of UPSE scores and academic qualifications in the qualifying test, while 15% seats are filled through management quota In postgraduate courses like M.Tech fam, UPSEE scores and academic merit are determined on the basis of 85%.
