Admission to the IIIT Delhi PhD programmes is merit and entrance-based. Shortlisted candidates have to go through an interview round for final selection. Yes, candidates seeking admission in the BTech programme of IIIT Delhi must have a valid JEE Main score. The cutoff is usually less competitive for IIIT Delhi. The highest cutoff scores usually is of Computer Science Engineering. Candidates based on their JEE Main score are allotted seats through JAC Delhi Counselling. In 2024, the JEE Main cutoff for CSE was 6695. 

Candidates need to be Class 12 pass with minimum 70% aggregate in five subjects including Physics, Maths and Chemistry and 70% in Mathematics in Class 12 from a recognised board to become eligible for the BTech programme. Moreover, the aspirant should have passed the qualifying exam from a recognised board. During the form filling and at the time of admission, candidate must hold the pass certificate for verification purposes.
