Yes, you need to undergo an industrial training in the third/fourth semester of the programme. It should be a 17-week long training programme. Students have to submit the certificate of training completion as well at the institute. Only the students who submit the certificate shall gain an edge in the placements.

Selecting CDAC Centre for Development of Advanced Computing is a wise choice if you have a solid understanding of IT skill sets. According to their official website, about 200 new students are placed every year from respectable institutions and universities. There is increased competition because more individuals are selecting IT professions these days, but if you have the necessary credentials and a strong foundation, your chances of getting recruited are higher. I would suggest finishing your postgraduate degree from a respectable university since it would enhance your resume and place you in a better position with the hiring manager

The CDAC which stands for The Centre for Development of Advanced Computing is considered as a Tier 2 College  in India based on the level of colleges in India .

Although it is not included in the top tier of colleges in India, but it has lot of scope in its relationship to the network of research centres . It also has a lot of collaboration with leading academic partners. It's level is alomost same as of the Tier 1 colleges which are the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and Indian Institute of Management (IIMs). It develops and plays an important role in developing innovation and technology.
