The assessment methods at GIBS Business School are different from the typical assessment methods of writing tests. Instead, the institute uses practical and continuous evaluation techniques for measuring students' actual abilities and readiness to work in the industry.

Assessment Methods Other Than Written Tests

• Students completing 'live' projects and internships will be assessed on their actual work with a company and how they performed in that work.
• Students will have to give presentations and participate in seminars to demonstrate their ability to communicate effectively, their level of confidence, and how well they understand the subject matter.
• Students will have to analyze actual business cases and will be graded on how they solved the problem in the case.
• Students will complete group projects and team-building assignments where they will be assessed on their teamwork and leadership abilities.
• The CPMP is a continual evaluation of students' soft skills, such as communication, personality, and professionalism.
• Through role playing and simulating different business situations, students will have the opportunity to demonstrate their decision-making skills.
• Classroom participation and activities will include classroom discussions, quizzes, and other interaction-based methods of evaluation.
• Students will complete written assignments and research projects as a means of assessing their ability to learn from their analytical and research experience.

These methods of evaluating are used in most business schools today to assess students' practical skills, ability to work with others, and their ability to apply knowledge in real-life situations, rather than just through theoretical means.

The GIBS IRE programme is specifically designed for start-up activity and combines the use of a practical, hands on development from concept to implementation as opposed to just theory.

•  Action-oriented learning model – students will create real ideas, prototypes, and business plans, rather than just studying what a start-up is.
•  Structure to support start-up development through a dedicated IRE Lab system which includes an Innovation Lab, Research Lab, and Entrepreneurship Lab.
•  Opportunity to participate in a programming schedule that is exclusively focused on start-ups every week (including Fridays).
•  Requirement to have a working prototype and an actual business model to graduate, promoting practicality.
•  Industry mentors and exposure to entrepreneurs, industry experts, and founders of start-ups, producing practical learning experiences.
• Financial incentives to register a start-up, as well as awards, to promote developing and launching a real start-up.
•  Opportunity to participate in national hackathons and competitions to showcase ideas to actual investors in the form of business plan competitions.
•  Opportunity to present to a jury, investors, and experts at the IRE Conference, providing exposure and opportunities for feedback.
•  Development of critical thinking skills, creativity, and problem solving skills, which are the foundations for developing a successful start-up.
