For getting into NASA as a scientist there are plenty of ways and disciplines. It's almost similar to our ISRO. These space agencies require specialists in almost all the fields of sciences like physics, chemistry, mathematics, robotics, chemical, artificial intelligence, computers etc. You can choose any field of your choice and liking and passion and you have good chances of getting the job in NASA.
