Both the colleges are good colleges to pursue engineering but DSCE is somehow better in terms of placements. Here is a comparison between them. Here are some of the insights of the college. Intake:- 1440
Placements
Average package:- 3.5 Lacs
the highest package:- 12 Lacs
Recruiters:- Accenture, Tech Mahindra, L&T, Unisys, IBM, Wipro, Bosch, MU Sigma, Shahi Exports, Hp, HCL, Infosys, Mahindra, etc.

TCS comes with both job and internship opportunities every year. Tech Mahindra is one of the core recruiters. Epsilon also takes students from civil branch. However, placement policies are not up to the mark. Alliance University:-

The college has a reputation maintained for excellence in the course offered particularly for undergraduate courses. The placements are higher in almost every branch. For civil engineering branch, one can expect an average placement package of around Rs 4 Lacs considering the placement record in the year 2016. Also, the highest placement package obtained by a student of the batch 2017 in the civil department was Rs 17.5 Lacs by VGN which happened to take only 4 students from the whole batch. Many job opportunities are there for Chemical Engineers in pharma companies. The placements at National Institute of Technology, Surathkal of Chemical are really good. The placement ratio is almost 90%. Many multinational IT companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Google, etc. , visit the campus every year and take students from here. The minimum package offered for this branch is around 4-5 LPA, average package is around 7-9 LPA and the highest is 15 LPA. NIT, Surathkal is one of the top NITs and is known across the India. According to the National Institutional, Ranking Framework NIT, Surathkal ranks 22nd among the engineering colleges in India. For mining engineering, last year (2016-17) out of 32 students who applied for placements from mining department 21 students were placed meaning 65 percent placement for mining which is quite a good number for mining engineering. For mining engineering, the minimum salary offered was Rs 3.3 Lacs per annum. The average salary was Rs 5.6 Lacs per annum and the maximum salary was Rs 9.3 Lacs per annum.
