As far as academics is concerned, it is a pretty good university to pursue a B.Tech degree given that is a fairly new university, the faculty are good and supportive and most importantly the campus environment is impeccable, but what gives Alliance the edge over other colleges not only Bangalore but India has its tie ups with international schools and exchange programs which will give you the opportunity to have an international experience.

The college has a reputation maintained for excellence in the course offered particularly for undergraduate courses. The placements are higher in almost every branch. For civil engineering branch, one can expect an average placement package of around Rs 4 Lacs considering the placement record in the year 2016. Also, the highest placement package obtained by a student of the batch 2017 in the civil department was Rs 17.5 Lacs by VGN which happened to take only 4 students from the whole batch. The number of core companies coming for placements in the college is less for the civil department. The reason why I would not recommend you to go for admission in the college particularly in the civil branch unless you don't have any other better option to pursue civil engineering.

Many job opportunities are there for Chemical Engineers in pharma companies. The placements at National Institute of Technology, Surathkal of Chemical are really good. The placement ratio is almost 90%. Many multinational IT companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Google, etc. , visit the campus every year and take students from here. The minimum package offered for this branch is around 4-5 LPA, average package is around 7-9 LPA and the highest is 15 LPA. Companies like Ranbaxy, Sun Pharma, Oracle, Birla Cellulose, Volvo, Reliance Industries, Tata Advanced Materials, Aditya Birla Group, Siemens, Kirloskar, Godrej, Diesel Logistics limited, Lodha Group, Brenntag, Glenmark, Torrent Pharma, Asian Paints, etc. , recruit students from here. All the credit goes to the training and placement cell department of NIT, Surathkal. So, it is really good to do Chemical Engineering from a reputed institute or university if someone is really interested in this and is in the search better packages and further studies. In short, the placements are good enough. Companies like Microsoft, SanDisk, Samsung, Reliance and other renowned companies visit the campus. After 3rd year, almost every student gets an internship through on-campus internships.

Generally Placement is taking place for 4th Year student who are eligible for Placement test and then company came to campus and they makes pre-placement talk, conducts tests and interviews and selects the candidates. According to previous year data for placement in CSE branch there is 98.90% placement of student in 2016 with average salary of Rs. 8.27 Lacs per annum and the highest of Rs. 25 Lacs per annum and minimum salary of Rs. 4 Lacs per annum. The NITs are great in infrastructure, facilities and study environment and even all the branches have great placements in reputated companies which further can help you move abroad or in some great research work. If you get NIT Surathkal, it is one of the oldest (established in 1960) NITs having nearly all branches and have great result (73 students placed among 81) in terms of placements in EEE branch (the highest package of 22 LPA and average package of 8.5 LPA).
