The admissions to Dayanand Sagar College of Engineering are given based on the ranking of the student in common entrance test conducted by the Karnataka Government called KCET or private Engineering College Consortium called COMEDK. The student needs to score 45% marks in his class 12th or 50% marks if the student has to seek admission from management quota. I am attaching a link that will give you all the information about admission in detail about this famous Institution of Karnataka.

Computer science course is mainly for innovating things which is been studied and to come up with new ideas. Information Technology is more of using the technology rather than creating new things. B.Tech IT is a slightly cut down version of CSE, so CSE is any time better than IT but CSE is more difficult to get into than IT & a bit tougher too. Job companies prefer CSE over IT. Yes pes college is good for IT because placements are better in this branch.

I am sorry, but NIT-K cut-offs, as far as I know, reach the maximum of 5 digits. I think you should try for some other NIT or search some colleges where you could choose a branch in which you want to pursue your career.

Rather than focusing on such thing, you should also appear for JEE Mains, which is going to be conducted in April, because if you don't give the exam in April, then there are chances of falling down your rank, as competition is going to increase much this time.
