Hello!
College of Engineering, Chengannur is a government-aided engineering college. It was established in 1993 under the Institute of Human Resources and Development of the Government of Kerala. The college is recognised by AICTE and affiliated to APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University . Also, some of its branches are accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). The college is not fully government-owned, but it is not private either. It is a self-financed institution that functions under government supervision and aid.

To get admission into UG courses in College of Engineering, Chengannur, a student must have secured a minimum of 45% marks in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects and must have cleared the KEAM exam. Seats in B.Tech are offered on the basis of Merit, Management and NRI quota. For admission into PG courses like M.Tech, an engineering degree from a recognised institute along with a GATE score is required, while for those without GATE scores, a merit list is prepared. Electrical & Electronics Engineering under Merit quota (General quota) is around ?35,000–?40,000 per year, while Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence &ML and Electronics & Communication are around ?45,000 per year.The fees under Management quota generally range from ?65,000 per year.Students taking a seat under NRI quota are required to pay a one-time refundable deposit of ?1,25,000, and the annual tuition fee can range from ?1,25,000 to ?1,50,000 depending on the branch.

Hello!
To get admission to B.Tech course in College of Engineering, Chengannur, it is mandatory to appear for KEAM exam under general merit quota. But if you do not wish to appear for KEAM, admission is possible through some other routes. The college has some seats reserved under Management quota in which admission is possible on the basis of 12th merit even without KEAM score, provided you have secured minimum 45% marks with Physics, Chemistry and Maths.
