Yes, you can take admission to the course after your Diploma. Please check the below eligibility. Direct Second Year (Lateral Entry) Admission: The candidate should be an Indian National passed Diploma Course in Engineering and Technology with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only) in an appropriate branch of engineering and technology from an All India Council for Technical Education or Central or State Government approved institution or its equivalent.

The cutoff for various branches in VJTI Mumbai are:- 148 marks for civil, 172 for information technology,178 for computer engineering,156 for electrical,162 for electronics & telecommunication,153 for electronics, 141 for production engineering, 161 for mechanical engineering and 122 for textile technology. So, overall a score around 170 will get you information technology branch in VJTI Mumbai.
