Dear candidate, to enroll in B.tech cse programme , you need to qualify LPUNEST entrance test . Its not only entrance but scholarship test also. So, you will get scholarship in programme fees on the basis of your performance .

It primarily deals with the development and designing of computer software and hardware processes with strong focus on algorithms, programming languages, program design etc. Moreoover, its an industry immerion course which enable the students to keep pace with changing technological advances, the university has industrial tie-ups with various industries. Studying these courses as a part of the curriculum would provide a WILD CARD entry to industry. 

The eligibility criteria is - 

Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with Physics, Mathematics and English) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST.  For a candidate, who has not studied English as a subject, the condition of English may be waived off provided the candidate in his qualifying exam has studied in English medium or an equivalent subject.

Usually the top universities in India accept gap your of 1 to 2 years.

It is not specifically mentioned on their website about the number of GAP years but there are some guidelines given. 

An affidavit in duplicate from each candidate having gap year seeking admission to the College/Department to the effect that he/she was not disqualified by any Board/Body/Council/University and he/she was not already registered with the Panjabi University (wherever applicable), must be obtained by the concerned College/Department  before allowing admission. In case the candidate was disqualified, the period of disqualification and the activities in which the candidate was involved during the period of disqualification, should be indicated by the candidate in the said affidavit. A copy of the affidavit be sent to the University (R&S Branch) along with Registration Return. No candidate be admitted under any circumstances during the disqualification period.

Candidates for admission to Thapar University's (LM Thapar School of Management) MBA programme must have a bachelor's degree in any field with at least 50% of the possible points (45% for SC, ST, and PwD categories) or an equivalent CGPA from an accredited university. Professional credentials such as ACS, ICWA or CA can also be used to qualify applicants. Students in their last year may apply provisionally.

Valid results from the CAT, XAT, NMAT, CMAT, MAT, GMAT, GRE or SNAP are required for admission. The Thapar Management Aptitude Test (TMAT) is an additional option for candidates. A video Statement of Purpose an interview, and an evaluation of academic background are all part of the process. The deadline for applications is June 10 2024.
