MIT had just under 27,000 students apply for the class of 2027 with an acceptance rate of less than 5%. They only extended offers to about 1,259 of the 26,914 applicants. With such a low acceptance rate, getting into MIT seems difficult. But, students are still getting in!

There are six B.Tech and two M.Tech specialisations available at MIT Academy of Engineering Pune in chemical engineering, civil engineering, computer engineering, electronics engineering and mechanical engineering in B.Tech and computer engineering and mechanical engineering specialisations in M.Tech. MITAOE courses provide a variety of options to the students to choose the desired course.

Yes, the Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID) has caste-based reservation of seats for admission to the B.Des program. SID has a combined intake of 180 seats for Indian students. The reservation criteria for the B.Des programme is given in the table below.

Candidates seeking admission to the B.Des programme at SID need to first appear in the SEED 2026 written exam. Shortlisted candidates have to appear in a Portfolio Review and Personal Interaction (PRPI) round. To appear in the personal interaction, the candidate will have to book their slots. The candidate will also have to upload a PRPI Task and Portfolio.
