For post graduation in AGBS or any institution they just want to make sure that a student should have been done their undergraduate program little seriously. We just need to maintain a SGPA of 4.5 or more to get into postgraduate programmes. It just makes sure that at undergraduate level we have acquired approximately 50% knowledge so that we can capture and grasp the further courses.

CGPA or SGPA both are calculated in almost same way every where, it's just the marking scale which varies from institute to institute. Overall, CGPA and Term GPA are calculated by dividing the sum of the grade points earned by the total credit value of courses. Means multiplying the overall grade score by the credit score of each subject by the total credit scores. For example, if your credit score is C and your GPA is your average grade point, your CGPA will be (GPA*C) divided by a total of C.

First of all we need to be sincere that we won't miss any examination because it reflects that how serious we are with our studies. But sometimes unfortunately the cercumstances are not use to be in our favour. So, they just need to make the professors aware about that situation and should have a genuine reason like poor health or something uncertain occured and a signed application so that further they can appear in the examination .

It's rare that a student fails in internal exams as it used to be easy enough to clear. If unfortunately someone failed there is nothing to worry he/ she may reappear in the exam contacting their faculties of respective departments. There is a condition that if you have to pursue masters then you need to maintain SGPA of 4.5 or more the 4.5
