If you really want to do astronomy it's very good so study at least physics and maths in class 11th and class 12th. Do a B.Sc in Physics and take a few elective courses in astronomy/astrophysics. After that do your postgraduate studies in astronomy/astrophysics.

Common admission test (CAT) scores are applicable for MBA/ PGDM /PGPX/ MMS/ MFM courses only. While the GATE scores are for M.Tech courses. Hence CAT score is not applicable for M.Tech admissions at MITWPU.

Yes, there is placement after M.Sc.
Medical cadets have the privilege to be either in the Indian Army, Navy or Air Force after completing their programme from AFMC. Students have an option of choosing between SSC (short service commission) and PC (permanent commission) and also, subject to seat availability.
