In the GDP of our country, TELECOM sector contributes around 2.5% I. e. very huge growth and in future, this figure will keep on increasing, so ultimately, this sector will cover a huge area in future and it will have a vast scope. In India, we have all resources but still, we are lacking behind the other countries the reason behind it is lack of education and proper use of resources, we Indian people believe in working for other countries rather than working for India coz they value our knowledge, we only Indian people are involve in increasing their technology if they contribute their involvement in India than we undoubtedly increase our scope.

Apart from that, there are broadband technology / Digital cable / Internet services / computerized equipment etc. And, it resulting the increasing demand for the personnel who can deal with the related activities. So, on that basis, the scope for Telecom Professionals is good. And, when there is good scope, it means the job opportunities are also growing rapidly in this sector. Overall, prospects are looking good.

So, on that basis, the scope for telecom professionals is good and, when there is good scope, it means the job opportunities are also growing rapidly in this sector. Overall, prospects are looking good. There is a great demand of qualified and skilled professionals with hands on experience and good knowledge. Telecom players are attracting talent by offering lucrative telecom job packages in order to boost their expansion plans. On an average, the fresher salary is in the range of Rs 3-5 lakhs per annum. Those who provide customer assistance services fetch something between Rs 2.5-3 lakhs per annum. Experienced professionals can get around Rs 8-12 lakhs per annum.

For DGS-approved courses viz DNS leading to degree(Applied Nautical Science), degree(Nautical Science), degree(Maritime Science) & B.Tech (Marine Engineering), there should not be any degree of squint or any morbid condition of eyes or of the eyelids that is liable to aggravate or recur, pressure of trachoma and iris complication sequel. Candidates must possess good binocular vision (Fusion faculty and a full field of vision in both eyes). Movement of the eyeballs must be full in all directions and the pupils should react normally to light and accommodation.
Candidates joining DNS, degree(Nautical Science) & degree (Maritime Science) degree course colour vision shall (unaided 1.0 (6/6) in better eye and 0.67 (6/9) in other eye. Normal Colour vision shall be tested by Ishihara test chart. In case of candidates joining B.Tech. (Marine Engineering) degree course, distance vision (unaided 0.5 (6/12) in each eye or 0.67 (6/9) in better eye and 0.33 (6/18) in other eye. Normal colour vision shall be tested by Ishihara test chart.
