TS EAMCET is the entrance exam for selecting engineering colleges in Telangana. University college of Engineering, Osmania University opts this exam score as a criteria for admission process. If the rank achieved by candidate in this exam is within the cutoff rank of B.E admission in Osmania university then he/she will be assured in getting B.E via councelling. And this exam ranks are purely based on merit based i.e based on the scores achieved in the TS EAMCET. Thus , getting a safe score in TS EAMCET is necessary.

The qualifying CAT cutoff of IIM Amritsar is the minimum percentile that candidates must score to be eligible for an interview call for WAT/GD-PI, while the final CAT cutoff is the percentile that candidates must obtain to participate in the WAT/GD-PI round. The former is released with the admission criteria of the institute before the CAT exam while the latter is released after the declaration of CAT result. A few more differences between the two are tabulated below:

Qualifying CAT cutoffs

Final CAT cutoffs

Meeting the qualifying cutoff does not confirm that the student is selected for the WAT/GD-PI

Meeting the final CAT cut off does not confrim students' admission at the institute

The qualifying CAT cut off is fixed before the announcement of CAT result.

The final cut off is determined after the declaration of CAT result.

The qualifying CAT cut off percentiles are announced by every IIM in the notification of admission criteria and selection process for that academic year.

The final cutoff is not announced publicly and is only acessible to students who participated in the CAT exam.

A comparison of the universities in Punjab for their MBA programme based on multiple components, such as fee, ranking and placements are tabulated below:

MBA Universities

MBA Fee

MBA Median or Average Salary

Panjab University

INR 42,700 - INR 6.2 lakh

INR 2.5 LPA - 8.5 LPA

CGC Landran

INR 2.5 lakh

NA

Punjabi University

INR 65,800 - INR 12.3 lakh

INR 1.9 LPA - INR 12.3 LPA

NOTE: The fee & placement stats mentioned above are sourced from multiple sources. Hence, are indicative.

While Panjab University seems like a better option compared to CGC Landran with respect to the ROI basis the fee and salary, it seems like a not so favourable option if a student has a choice between Panjab University and Punjabi University. However, the final decision must be of the student and can depend on the reviews of the college, faculty of the course and their own pocke
