Yes, IIM Amritsar offers a two-year full-time MBA programme in three specialisations, namely General, Human Resources and Business Analytics. MBA is the flagship programme of IIM Amritsar. Candidates willing to take admission in MBA programme at IIM Amritsar must take the CAT exam because IIM Amritsar MBA admission is based on valid CAT score. The first level of selection for PI is based on CAT. The final ranking list of candidates for admission to the MBA 2024 program will be based on the composite score. The composite score include the PI score and Post PI score.

For admission to MBA (or PGP) 2024 batch at IIM Amritsar, the CAT test was conducted on November 26, 2023. Aspirants of IIM Amritsar were required to appear for the exam in Computer Based Testing mode at the allotted test centres. CAT exam 2023 was held in three slots:

Morning slot: 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM

Afternoon slot: 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM

Evening slot: 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM

Earlier, the CAT exam used to be of 180 minutes with 100 questions but in 2020, both exam duration and number of questions were reduced due to COVID-19 pandemic. From CAT 2022 onwards, the total number of questions stands at 66 as part of CAT pattern.
