There are no placement statistics data available for both the colleges on their official website. Reason is very clear that there is no more scope of M.Tech students in terms of placement. I have seen the review of many students of both the colleges and the results are not in favor of any college. Most of the companies do not allow M.Tech students to sit for placements. NIT Rourkela and IIIT Allahabad is known for B.Tech only, not for M.Tech. However, from selection point of view you may go with NIT Rourkela.

Hello,NIT at Rourkela is one of the top-notch NITs of the country. Here more than 90% of students get placed. Food technology or food processing engineering in India is the most important and the most sought after emerging branch these days. With the government of India aiming to double the farmers income as compared to present income, I am sure the food processing industry is going to play a major role. To help you I am attaching a link that will give you all the required information. Best wishes to you.

You need at least 75.5 from the CBSE board or 65%. If you are from UP, boards, there are different criteria for merits, but nowadays 75% is working for all government colleges. And for more information, you may check it on the college site.

Hi,
For admission to the MBA program, a merit list is prepared based on the performance in All-State/ National level scores like CAT/ MAT/ CMAT. Candidates are selected on the basis of their performance in the Entrance Test and Personal Interview. Graduate or Post Graduate in any stream with 50% marks (47.5% marks for SC/ST). Good luck.
