At AVS Engineering College, semester exam results are usually released four to six weeks following exams. The results of the odd semester exams (November–December 2024) should be available by late January 2025, and the results of the even semester exams (April–May 2025) should be available by June 2025. The college's official website or Anna University's portal which is accessed by students publishes the results. Notifications are provided by email or college notice boards however evaluation procedures may cause delays.

The names of the top alumni of theAVS Engineering College are not available online. The college has produced several alumni with outstanding success in different fields. Many hold important positions in companies like Infosys, TCS, CSS Corp, IBM, etc. Some have gone into entrepreneurship by setting up startups in technology, consultancy, and other associated industries. The highest package offered till now for BTech students is INR 29 LPA and the average package is around INR 5 LPA. Around 70% of the students get placed every year.

Class 10 and 12 mark sheets, transfer certificate, community certificate (if necessary), nativity certificate, income certificate (for availing scholarship), and recent passport-size photograph are necessary for those applying to AVS Engineering College's B.E./B.Tech course. Original and self-attested documents are necessary for TNEA counseling as are TNEA application form, receipt of payment, and identification proof (Aadhaar card). AVS Engineering College offers only BTech,MBA and MTech courses. Admission to BTech, and MBA courses are done based on the scores obtained in the TNEA counseling and TANCET exams, respectively. The TNEA ranks for admission in 2024 varied from 114249 to 137409 and TANCET ranks was around 6263. Usually the first week of May 2025 marks the start of TNEA 2025 registration for AVS Engineering College's B.E./B.Tech admission. The application form is accessible on tneaonline.org.
