The final selection is on GATE/ UGC - JRF/ NET/ CSIR-JRF/ JEST/ Written Test scores. Students must appear for personal interview after selection on the basis of entrance scores.

Yes, students can get a refund if they withdraw admission at IIT Madras within three weeks of the term start. Admin charges are retained and the balance course fee, will be refunded, if any.
- Admin charges for a foundational Level course is INR 2000
- Admin charges for a Diploma / Degree Level course is INR 4000.
