Yes, there are scholarships other than meritorious scholarships at GITAM Visakhapatnam. Apart from the above, the following scholarships are also offered to eligible students.

    1. Employee children scholarships (60%, 40%, and 20%)
    2. Loyalty Scholarships (10% for Any alumni returning to do higher studies /Children of Alumni / Real siblings (Not applicable to step siblings or cousins)/ Children of retired employees of GITAM/Spouse of GITAM employees).
    3. Sports Scholarships (100%, 75%, 50%, 25% and 15%)

While application fees for Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education admissions are only INR 600, students must also pay application fees for the required entrance exams such MAT, CAT, TANCET, etc.

This fee can be paid online through Net Banking while candidates are applying for the required exam. The university also has separate admission fees in its fee structure alongside other one-time charges.

The documents shown here are required for Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education admissions:

  • Entrance Exam score card (MAT, CAT, TANCET, etc.).
  • Passing certificate of the qualifying exam (either Class 12 and 10 or bachelor's/ master's degree as the case may be).
  • Statement of marks at the qualifying examination and migration certificate (only for candidates passing Bachelor's/ Master's degree from other universities).
  • Government-issued ID proof (Aadhaar card, passport, etc.)
  • Transfer Certificate from the institute last attended
  • Passport-size photograph of candidate
  • Category Certificate (if required)

The mode of application at Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education is online with students able to apply online through the university admissions portal so long as they complete the course eligibility.
Students must apply after they receive the entrance exam scores that is required for the courses though in the case of merit based admissions students can still apply before they give the final examination so long as they complete the course eligibility within a certain time frame.

Admission criteria to DU School of Open Learning is both, merit and entrance based and is different for all UG and PG programmes. To get into UG programmes, the eligibility criteria is the minimum aggregate in Class 12 or equivalent, along with entrance exams for a few courses. However, the eligibility criteria to get into PG programmes is graduation in any discipline (this may vary from course to course), along with entrance exams for a few courses.
