Alagappa University allot seats on a merit-basis to the UG programme. It follows the reservation policy prescribed by the Government of Tamil Nadu. There are 5% of seat reservation for the differently-abled students (Government Letter No.12599/K2/2017-1, dated 21.07.2017). For those interested in pursuing B.Tech. Biotechnology or Biomedical engineering, the eligible combination is either Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) or Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB). Selection is based on valid UCEED score/V-DAT (Design Aptitude Test)score with 10+2 marks in the qualifying examination. UCEED (Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam for Design)Score is considered for admissions to the BDes program.

No, VIT (Vellore Institute of Technology) does not consider SRMJEE (SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Examination) results for admission.
