For all degree programmes in Law, admissions will be based on the CLAT 2022 Scores and +2 aggregate taken in the ratio of 25% : 75% respectively. For all other degree programmes in Sciences, Arts, Commerce, Education, etc., admissions will be based on the qualifying exam marks.
Candidates who have completed graduation from recognised colleges can also apply at colleges which admit candidates on the basis of merit. Therefore, candidates have ample opportunities to pursue LLB even without appearing CLAT.

Securing a place in SASTRA University may pose some challenges with a 64 percentile in JEE Mains and 77% in your CBSE board exams. Admission is usually very high on JEE Mains score for direct admissions due to the specific standard set by the university, but it may be possible to gain admission through the CBSE board for direct counseling. The eligibility in this case will depend on the cutoffs which change for each academic year. So, it is better to either check out its official admission site or contact them for directed advice.

With a 77 percentile in JEE and 77% in your 12th CBSE board exam, admission to the Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) programme at SASTRA University may not be easy, but not impossible. The university accepts students based on a combined score of the JEE Main and marks in the 12th grade.

Class 12 grades and JEE Main scores are used to determine admission to SASTRA University's B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering degree. The allocation of 30% of the seats is based on JEE Main results (75% weightage) and Class 12 marks (25% weightage), whereas 70% of the seats are based on Class 12 grades.
Candidates can verify if they satisfy the requirements by logging into their admission portal, but the cutoff details are not made public for each course separately.

Admission to SASTRA University's B.Tech Lateral Entry program is granted on the basis of merit earned in an accredited diploma program. Since SASTRA admissions are mostly merit-based, the cutoff trends for lateral entry programs are not available . However, depending on the volume of applicants and diploma achievement levels, the rivalry may differ throughout areas such as computer science, electronics and communication engineering, and others.
The B.Tech Lateral Entry tuition for the 2023 academic year was roughly 65,000 per semester, plus extra costs for sports and development, for a program cost of about 4,28,825 in total

Given your 979 intermediate exam grades and 89 percentile JEE Mains scores, you stand a good chance of being accepted into SASTRA Universitys Computer Science Engineering (CSE) programme in Thanjavur. There are two routes for admissions:
Stream 1: Comprising normalised 12th marks (75%) and the JEE Mains (25%) accounts for 70% of seats.
Stream 2: Covering the remaining 30% based only on 12th grade grades.
The merit-based requirements of Stream 1 are adequately met by your scores. But there is fierce rivalry for CSE, and the final admission results rely on the total number of applicants and the cutoffs

At SASTRA Deemed University, admission to the B.Tech programs, including Electronics and Communication (EC) and Information Technology (IT), is based on a combined score of 75% weightage from your Class 12 marks and 25% from your JEE Main score. With your 82.4% in Class 12 and an 80.99 percentile in JEE Main, your combined score would be around 82.05, which is a competitive score. While SASTRA does not have a fixed cutoff, this score increases your chances of getting admission to EC or IT, as these branches tend to have relatively high demand. For detailed information, it's best to check the official SASTRA admissions page.
