Founded in 2003, the Indian Graduate Student Association at Penn State University is a student-run organisation that acts as a platform to integrate Indian graduate and post-doctoral scholars at this university. The main aim of this association is to create a platform for graduate students and research scholars to connect with each other and have a sense of belongingness in the foreign land. It also conducts many events. Furthermore, it collaborates with other communities and groups at the university, such as the Indian Culture and Language Club, Hindu Student Council, Penn State Vedic Society, Natya, etc.
