To get into UCR, the applicants need the following things:
Undergraduate Students
- High School GPA
- English language proficiency tests
- High school coursework: Students must earn a grade of C or better in all college preparatory courses
- Social security number (if applicants have one)
- Citizenship status

Graduate Students

While the Graduate Council of the University of California, Riverside campus has temporarily waived off the GRE requirements for 2024-25 application cycles, some of the programs may still need the GRE score. It is advised to check the individual graduate requirements to know about the GRE requirements. Some of the programs for which GRE General exams are accepted include MBA, MFin, MPAc, MS in Business Analytics, or PhD programs.

Yes, UCR does offer scholarships to international students. Achievement Scholarship is offered to the University of California Riverside undergraduate students. The students will be automatically considered for this scholarship with their acceptance to UCR. First-year students can receive up to USD 54,000 (Around INR 45 lakh) up to four years.

- Undergraduate: The applicants must earn a minimum GPA of 3.4 on a 4.0 scale (equivalent to 85%). The assessment of a qualifying GPA is based on “a-g” courses (needed in high school / secondary classes) in years 10 and 11
