Yes, Lawrence Technological University permits international students to work while studying. Overseas students must be mindful of the fact that they can work no more than 20 hours per week while classes are in session and it is essential that this employment does not interfere with a their academic program. During vacations, they can work for unlimited hours.

The Virginia Tech University acceptance rate of 57%, makes it one of the more selective higher education institutes in the region. However, Purdue, itself has an acceptance rate, of around 53%, making Virginia Tech, though only marginallly, but relatively easier to secure admissions at.

The college offers both on and off-campus housing accommodations to the students. There are over seven residence halls on the campus. The Holy Cross is for male students and the Esseff Hall is a women-only residence. The Luksic Hall is a co-ed living residence.
