International students are required to submit the proof of their English language skillset. UT Austin majorly accepts TOEFL and IELTS score. Check the minimum English test score requirement mentioned below-

UT Austin aspirants will be required to submit proof of completion of an accredited secondary school series equivalent to a high school of the US. Your marksheet should include the following-

• All secondary school work and grades up from 9th grade till the end of 11th grade
• Copies of official final examinations taken at the end of secondary school program

For freshmen admissions, UT Austin applicants are required to submit short answers to prompts in their admission application of not more than 40 lines or 250-300 words. The required prompts include:

• Of all the academic and co curricular activities you have been involved in during high school, which one makes you the most proud 

Students can write an essay on any topic of their choice. But UT Austin has certain guidelines regarding same, i.e., keep the essay between 500-650 words (2-3 paragraphs). The Common App personal essay also works.

The University of Kansas Excellence Scholarship is a renewable financial aid offered by KU to eligible international freshman students. Students with a GPA 3.95 or higher can apply for this scholarship.

The scholarship awards USD 16,000 or INR 14.44 Lakhs per year to students for up to 4 years. The overall worth of the KU Excellence scholarship is USD 64,000 or INR 57.77 Lakhs.

May 1, 2026 is the last date to apply for freshmen students for the Uni of Kansas scholarships. Financial aid is given based on high school GPA and to students enrolled in at least 12 credit hours for both fall and spring semesters.

The UKansas scholarship can be renewed if the conditions below are met.

• Maintain a 3.0 GPA in a full-time course
