You will find a mixed crowd at Punjab University, but mostly middle and higher class student are seen. If you have to make a comparison between the both, I would suggest Punjab University is much better.

Yes, you can pursue B.Tech, if you are keenly aspire (forget your + 2 commerce). With your class 10th board qualification, you can appear JEE for polytechnic Diploma and after completion of 3 years diploma engineering, you can try for Lateral entry for B.Tech in 2nd year. Yes, it consumes time, but may lead to a better future, if you are really interested for B.Tech.

The placement of MBA (HR) is good. The number of companies that come for HR profile are more than other courses. The average package for HR is around INR 4 lacs. To get admission in Amity University, you have to register yourself online and you have to give GD and PI.

I do not think there is a provision for lateral entry in NIT. It is for state government college.

Per semester, the fees is around Rs. 1,28,000. Considering the hostel fees too, the total course fees amount to Rs. 10,00,000. Also, it depends on Management as well so please confirm it while taking admission.

Of course, AMU is good for B.Sc. Atleast bettar than any other college in the country. It has a dedicated college for B.Sc. With good faculty and infrastructure. No, AMU does't have a dedicated book for Law or anything but there are tons for good books available in the market for the preparation of law. Many of them are easily available in the market and if you are in Aligarh you can get them from Shamshad market in Aligarh.
