Based on academic achievements and infrastructure, placement records and cell, academics, fee structure Chandigarh University is better and has out taken many universities in North India including Sharda University. So Chandigarh University would be better.

Diploma course mainly offered after the class 10. Students seeking admission in diploma can directly admit in second year of graduation course after the completion of diploma. There are various stream/branch available under diploma. You opt branch as per your interest.

Yes, you can apply for B.A(Hons.) social science/ arts only criteria is you must pass 12th with aggregate more than 50% of all subject and your age should be less than 22 years for SC/ST candidates. There is no minimum marks criteria for PH and OBC category 5% relaxation is offered. All the best.
