The Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology, Bangalore offers full placement assistance to students through their Placement Cell as well as their many placement/ industry partners. The institute had a 74% placement rate during its 2025. As such though it may not always be guaranteed, it is highly likely for a student to receive good placements when they graduate from RGIPT Bangalore.

Students who wish to get admissions to Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology, Bangalore can apply online through the institute page. However there are no offline applications as such only online applications are accepted for the RGIPT Bangalore programmes. While the selection process is merit and entrance based. As a fresher, life at Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology, Bangalore is not difficult and quite nice. Students will receive a warm welcome from their seniors and teachers. Also the college has an Anti-Ragging Cell with the college premises having strict laws against such as well as the institute having quite decent students and faculty.
