The beautiful campus of the Birla Institute of Applied Sciences is spread over an area of about 25 acres in Bhimtal, in the Nainital district of Uttarakhand. The institute has collaborated with the CISCO Local Academy and runs a well-equipped CCNA lab to conduct CISCO courses. The Institute also operates a Government of India project on solar radiation resource assessment at CWET Chennai. For safety and security, BIAS is equipped with 55 CCTV cameras and 55 solar street lights. All the hostels have solar water heating systems. Looking at the big picture, the institute leaves no stone unturned to prepare its students for undertaking leading roles in a rapidly changing corporate environment.

This course provide an integrated overview of Business and Financial Journalism. More emphasis is given on the knowledge and concept learning skill based training and practical hands on learning of media tools and technologies. It enables students to join as specialised business and financial journalist cum anchor in the media and entertainment industry. CORPORATE COMMUNICATION and EVENT MANAGEMENT
This course provides an opportunity to develop an understanding of the strategic management of public relations and event management by analysing the history and current trends of the professions. Students will be immersed in critical thinking analysis and writing opportunities to refine their understanding of major concepts and theories associated with Public Relations and Event Management trends & initiatives. ADVERTISING AND MARKETING COMMUNICATION
This course Advertising and Marketing Communication course is designed to give a thorough working knowledge of the Advertising world. A strong emphasis is laid on students performance evaluation through projects & practical assignments and research. DIGITAL MEDIA AND ONLINE JOURNALISM
