Try clearing all the concepts that you find a little bit tough. Immense practice is what one requires to crack IIT - JEE. Solve various question papers every now and then, try finding questions that require a multi step approach to solve. In case of any difficulty, ask your doubts, it is necessary to have your doubts cleared. Once you master a topic, solve as many tough questions as you can.

The two options you gave, I would advise you to go with electrical engineering at IIT(ISM) Dhanbad. It is because your branch matters and certainly electrical is much better than geophysical and electrical is core branch too.
Electrical engineering students at IIT(ISM), Dhanbad has got decent placements in past few years. Since we got the IIT tag last year only, the number of companies visiting the campus is bound to increase from here on. Doon bussiness school is also better option to do MBA+, MBA, PGDM with SAP, SIX SIGMA, other certification courses, tally, foreign language, foreign tour, and industrial visits. Doon group has a reputed name itself in Uttrakhand, example doon international school. (Fees up to 4lakh with all these things, MAT cut off 55%, CAT-50, 99& placement record, 32 rank in India including IIM) and Doon University. It is a state university of uttrakhand, placement is not so good, but has high standard of education only 40 seats in MBA, cut off of MAT is 75%. Fees is INR 1.5 Lakh. It is very difficult to get admission. Placements are good.
