The university offers placement assistance to students. Vidyasagar University has not released its 2023 placement report yet. The top companies taking part in the placements drive are HDFC Bank, YES Bank, Haldiram Pvt. Ltd., Wipro, ICICI Bank, TCS, Limtex Co.Ltd., AXIS Bank, and others. In 2022, 249 students were placed in top companies and the highest package offered to students was INR 8.9 LPA. Hence, the placements at Vidyasagar University are good. Vidyasagar University has collaborated with various universities and colleges. Vidyasagar University has signed MoUs with different companies, organisations, industries, and universities. Some of the Vidyasagar University collaborations are Yunnan Minzu University, China, University of Lodz, Poland, University of Chittagong, Bangladesh, Hirszfeld Institute of Immunology and Experimental Therapy, Polish Academy of Science, Department of Anthropology, Poland, and others. The total seat intake for MCA in Jadavpur University is 44. Seat allotment procedure is carried out as per this seat count. The university also has reserved seats for the candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, and PwD categories. IIEST Shibpur will release 6-8 rounds of JEE Main cutoffs for admission to BTech in IT. The cutoffs will be released on a rolling basis, and the seats will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. The cutoffs will be based on the following factors:

  • The category of the candidate
  • The number of seats available in the course

For 2022 academic year, the cut off was 25202 for General category candidates in All India quota for BTech in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering in IIEST Shibpur. For female candidates in General category under All India quota, 36151 was the closing rank. BTech cut off varies depending on the category and domicile/quota of the applicant.

IIEST Shibpur BTech cutoff 2025 for the Aerospace Engineering branch in the last round was 36842 for the General AI category. In 2024 and 2023, the last round cutoff was 26815 and 28672, respectively. This difference in the ranks says that the cutoff trend has been decreasing over the year for this category. Please remember that the cutoff trend for other categories will vary accordingly.
