In my opinion IMS is the best option to go with. Because it provides full time PGDM programme which is comparatively better than MBA. IMS provides experimental based Learning and curriculum is corporate oriented and keeps upgraded time to time. You'll have best learning with best faculty members and also be getting knowledge from the corporate leaders in the form of conclaves, seminars etc. Ims has record of best placements since it's establishment. You can surely go for it.

As per the information available on JU's website, Admission to undergraduate programmes in the FET is through the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination, conducted by an independent body, followed by counseling. So the JEE Main scores are not applicable here. You have to participate and obtain a decent rank in WBJEE for getting admission here in B.Tech courses.

Yes, branch transfer is only possible if and only if there are seats available in that particular branch. Also, It happens at the end of your 1st year (after 2 semesters). And seats are allotted according to the order of CGPA you will be getting after your first year (CGPA upto 2 semesters will be considered). Students, who apply for branch transfer, with higher CGPA are given more priority and will be allotted the opted branch.
