The minimum eligibility criterion required for the candidates is to possess a Bachelor's degree in English or relevant discipline from a recognized university with a minimum aggregate score of 60%. Admission to MA English is done on the basis of entrance tests.

Hi Ishika,
Congratulations on successfully completing your +2.
Coming on to your eligibility criteria, you do have good marks for applying in St. Xavier's College, Kolkata.
But, on the index calculation basis, I am not sure about you getting into the merit list. Do give a shot!
If not the first list, do wait for the second list. I will give you all the required links below.

Hi Manisha,
There is a need of a minimum marks to apply for the course. But at this moment I can't say the cut off marks on the merit list. As you know it fully depends on the marks of the applicants. The more you score the chance of getting your name on the merit list increases. As long as my knowledge says the 95% will be a good score.
I will suggest you to visit the following link to know more and also check the merit list when it's out. You can get an idea of the cut off.

All the best.
