IEM Kolkata admission crieteria is entrance-based. Candidates are selected and admitted based on score in the respective entrance exam. For some courses, candidates have to go through some other selection rounds as well. The details around admission stages are mentioned below:

STEP 1: In the first step, candidates have to apply by filling out the application form for the desired programme. The application form can be collected in person from the institute or can be downloaded from the official website. The application process is completely online for some courses. 

STEP 2: The institute shortlist applications based on the applicants score in the entrance exam or cutoff marks. For an MBA, the shortlisted candidates are required to go through group dicussion and personal interview round as well.

STEP 3: Selected candidates are further allotted seats and asked to pay some amount of fee for admission confirmation.

Jadavpur University offers a comprehensive M.Tech programme with various specializations and a strong emphasis on practical skills and project implementation. The university provides M.Tech in six specializations, including Computer Technology, Instrumentation and Electronics, Material, Food Technology & Bio-Chemical, VLSI Design & Microelectronics Technology, and Intelligent Automation & Robotics.

The M.Tech programme duration is typically 2 years, and admission is based on GATE scores. The university has a total intake of 34 seats for the Computer Technology specialization, with a total fee of INR 9,600. Applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree in B.Tech with relevant specialisation and a valid GATE score for admission. The university also offers a part-time M.Tech in Computer Technology programme with a duration of 3 years and a total tuition fee of ?1.12 Lakh.

The curriculum includes modules on Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Python Programming, Machine Learning, and a project on Emerging Areas in AI and Data Science.
