Admission to BCA course is based on merit in the last qualifying exam. Candidates with good score in the qualifying exam are entitled to direct admission. Candidates with less score in the qualifying exam are required to qualify AUAT to get admission to BCA course. After completion of the selection rounds, shortlisted candidates are called for counselling and document verification. Candidates need to pay the course fee to confirm their admission.

The university also offers BCA (Hons) in two specialisations, namely Banking, Financial Services, Insurance and Gaming & Animation. Those students who wants to learn Computer languages and after that who wants to join Software Industry can apply for the BCA course

NUJS admission to B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) and B.Sc. LL.B. (Hons.) is based on CLAT scores followed by the CLAT Counselling. The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has released the CLAT Last Allotment list 2024. As per the NLU Kolkata  CLAT cutoff 2024, the round 5 closing rank for BA LLB (Hons) was 279 for the students belonging to the General AI category.
