With a KCET rank of 52,000 for BE Computer Science & Engineering, getting into top Karnataka colleges (like RVCE, PES, BMSCE, MSRIT) is highly unlikely, as these usually require ranks within top 1,000–3,000.

You can consider:

  • Lower-tier NITs/Private colleges in Karnataka

  • State colleges with available CSE seats in later counselling rounds

  • Other branches like ECE, IT, or Mechanical as backup.

Top colleges (CEG, PSG, MIT Chennai): Require very high marks and ranks (cutoff 198+ out of 200; ranks below 1,500).

Mid-tier colleges: Cutoffs around 192–197; ranks between 3,000 to 10,000+.

Other colleges: Lower cutoffs (170–190) and ranks from 10,000 up to 80,000+ offer seats in many private/self-financing colleges.

Now choice is yours choose accordingly and best of luck for your future

Based on your cutoff of 172.93, you have a chance to get admission in some of the reputed engineering colleges offering B.Tech CSE in TNEA counselling. However, admission to any college depends primarily on the availability of seats, competition from other applicants, and reservation criteria for different categories. Here are some of the colleges you can consider applying to:
1. PSG College of Technology
2. SSN College of Engineering
3. Thiagarajar College of Engineering
4. Coimbatore Institute of Technology
5. Kumaraguru College of Technology
6. Sri Sairam Engineering College
7. St. Joseph's College of Engineering. Please note that t

Yes you will get CSE at Vellore campus in phase 2 but in category 2 not in one which means you will be paying 3.07 lac. Moreover you will be the first one to attend the phase 2 counseling. A few things you must keep in mind that CSE category 2 will be gone within half an hour of the phase 2 counseling so be there on time or may be before the time. I can guarantee you if you go for phase 2, you will be the first person getting category 2 in phase 2.

The fee structure and administrative details will be made available to the student on the day of counselling. So you will have to wait for official notification on that.
During my studies,
Course duration- 4 years
Fees per year- Rs. 40,000. (through counselling) 40*4 = 160000
Management Fees : 70,000 per year (limited seats only).contact them for seats and all.

Generally for a rank above 5,000 getting CSE or ECE through direct admission is a not easy. We need to keep in mind that AICTE has laid restrictions on intake of students from the next academic year. So the chances for expecting an admission in branches like ME, Civil, BT are also minimal. Keep these things in mind and plan accordingly. All the Best.

Every year, the Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) conducts the Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination VITEEE for admission to the undergraduate course B.Tech. During VIT counseling, the candidates have to register, pay the fee, and select their preferences. The authorities will allot students based on their rank, preferences, and the availability of seats. Confirmation of admission has to be done once the allotment result is announced. VIT counseling takes place in different phases.
