Computer Science and Engineering in Delhi

When comparing placements for B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering (CSE) and Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) at LPU University Delhi NCR, CSE generally has better placement prospects due to the high demand for IT and software professionals in the job market. This ensures that CSE students often receive more placement opportunities and higher salary packages compared to ECE students. The ECE programme at LPU covers digital electronics, communication systems, embedded systems, VLSI, and signal processing, which prepares students for roles in electronics, telecom, IoT, and related sectors. While ECE placements are good, the IT and software sector's rapid growth means that CSE graduates usually get access to a larger number of companies and higher-paying roles. LPU Delhi NCR has a dedicated placement cell that provides training in technical skills, aptitude, communication, and interview preparation for both CSE and ECE students. Top recruiters visit the campus for placements, offering roles in software development, data science, AI, embedded systems, telecom, and electronics design. On average, CSE students secure packages ranging from 4 to 10 Lacs per annum, while ECE students generally receive packages between 3 to 6 Lacs per annum. Overall, for students aiming for better placement opportunities and higher starting salaries, B.Tech CSE at LPU Delhi NCR is a more favorable option.

During the BPIT Delhi cutoff 2023, the last round cutoff for BTech in CSE for General All India category students was 56566. This is higher than the previous year's cutoff of 445844 for the same category, indicating a less competitive admissions process. In 2021, the last round closing rank was 51458 for the BTech in CSE programme which indicating a more competitive admissions process as compared to BPIT cutoff 2022. Overall, the cutoff trend for BTech in CSE at BPIT Delhi for General All India category students witnessed a fluctuating trend over the past three years.
