Students got placed in good companies and about 80% students got placed. The highest salary offered was 11 lakhs per year and the minimum was about 1 lakh per year. CSE is undoubtedly the better branch at MANIT. If you consider academics, it's pretty much the same as all the other NITs. This year nearly 75% students got placement offers. Big firms like MS, Google, and Epic Systems visit the campus, so if you're a hard worker then you have bright prospects.

CSE placements in CV Raman College of Engineering are quite good. Let me tell the reasons for. First and foremost reason is we are given training in c+ and core java, etc.This process starts from the first year and with that a specialised training in BEC or Business English Communication is given by British Council. Don't worry these all are certification courses so by this we hold an upper hand on IT companies. The package in CS varies from 16 Lacs per annum to 3.5 Lacs per annum in 2017 highest package is offered by sap lab that is 9 Lacs per annum and the placement is still going on. The most prominent recruiters are Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, HCl, Zycus, Tech Mahindra, etc. and placement is 95% and adding to all above certification courses pre-placement training is given from the 3rd year itself.

Heritage Institute of Technology comes under top colleges in West Bengal. CSE is one of the best branch of HIT, Kolkata. The placement scenario here is quite good. Heritage has an upper hand in terms of placement. The placements were pretty fine in last two years. Companies like TCS, mass recruits with an avg package of 3.75 - 4.00 LPA. Some students have also got a package of 6-7 LPA. Apart from on-campus recruits, students have also got a package of 20-22 LPA, off-campus. Some companies like Infosys, Wipro Tech, Xplorsoft also visits the campus. This year Hp is going to visit. Although companies like Hp, do not recruit many students but this gives students an opportunity to excel. The placement percentage is around 80-85% in HITK. There are also few core branch companies like Borch, Godrej, Philips, etc that visits the campus. But they do not recruit many students. A good amount of students go for higher studies.
I would say, the placement scenario is extremely good. But it is fine.
