Yes, Government Engineering College, Karwar normally has an admission to its B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering course through lateral entry. The mode ensures that the students holding diploma, in a course related to engineering, can directly enter the second year of the B.E. course, and thus the course from this mode takes 3 years. It is usually at the state level--after clearing lateral entry entrance exams (such as the Diploma Common Entrance Test - DCET in Karnataka) and other eligibility criteria, which normally involve a minimum aggregate percentage in your diploma. IUST has not provided distinct placement statistics to facilitate a comparison between BTech CSE and BTech ECE. Therefore, students are encouraged to visit the official University website for the relevant details. The University has not yet published the placement statistics for 2023. Nevertheless, the NIRF report for 2023 has been released. According to this report, during the 2022 placements at the Islamic University of Science and Technology, 201 BTech students secured placements. The median salary package for BTech graduates was INR 4.8 LPA.

Scoring such percentile in JEE Mains is a good thing. You can expect to get into some lower ranked NITs and IIITs and also you can expect some good private institutions like VIT Andhra Pradesh and SRM University so on. Also once check the information given below.

Considering the JEE Main rank of 185,000, there are slim chances that general category student will get a CSE seat in top NIT or IIIT. But you can go ahead and check on newer NITs such as NIT Mizoram, NIT Nagaland, or NIT Sikkim, which might take CSE or some related branches under home state or reserved quota unless there are other less competitive colleges under OBC category, (as is generally the case in NITs). Such options may also include Government Funded Technical Institutes, e.g. Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University or Assam University. Also, a large number of the various private engineering colleges located in India which accept JE

According to JEE Main rank in the range of 72000, general category will be unable to get a seat in CSE in high level NITs (such as Trichy, Warangal or Surathkal). But you stand good odds in CSE/IT in new NITs like NIT Agartala, NIT Arunachal Pradesh, NIT Mizoram, NIT Nagaland, NIT Sikkim, NIT Manipur, NIT Puducherry and NIT Srinagar, especially when you can get a home-state quota or a reserved category. Also, Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs) such as Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Katra; Assam University, Silchar and Tezpur University (in certain courses with respect to the CSE discipline) are also quite probable. With a JEE Main rank of 13 lakh, chances of admission through JoSAA counselling are very slim. However, you can still get admission into private colleges, particularly through direct admission or management quota. Colleges affiliated with state universities, or private deemed universities with open admissions, often offer CSE seats if you're willing to explore Tier 3 cities or pay a slightly higher fee. Keep an eye out for colleges that accept board marks or conduct their own entrance tests for such branches.

Having 89-91 percentile of JEE Main, the general category is not expected to get CSE in best NITs (such as Trichy, warangal). Nonetheless, you are a good candidate to CSE/IT in some of the newer NITs (e.g. NIT Agartala, NIT Puducherry, NIT Mizoram, NIT Nagaland, NIT Sikkim, NIT Manipur, NIT Arunachal Pradesh, NIT Silchar, NIT Jalandhar, NIT Durgapur), or other disciplines in mid-tier NITs.Where Nirma University is considered, the overall all-India cut-off is normally going to be better, say around 96-97 percentile in the case of CSE. But, in case you have a home state quota (Gujarat), your prospects in Nirma in CSE is high, because hom
