Yes, you stand a good chance of getting into the Katihar Engineering College in CSE branch with a rank of 77 percentile in the JEE Main and 93.6 percent in your 12 th boards (considering that you belong to Bihar, so can apply u/c the home state quota). As per the most recent cutoffs of 2025, the B.Tech Computer Science Engineering final cut off rank of General (Home State) in Katihar Engineering College was in top 543261. Although your percentile is good, your rank will be of major consideration during the counseling process in Bihar UGEAC. It is extremely doubtful that a person can get into IIIT Delhi CSE with a rank of 38k SC. In 2025 JEE Main, SC category closing rank in CSE (Outside Delhi) was found to be 44134, whereas in Home State it was 109168. This is however inclusive of all IIIT Delhi B.Tech courses. In the case of pure CSE, the cutoffs are lower. The SC category closing rank (Other State) to obtain B.Tech CSE in 2025 was 44134 and it was 109168 (Home State). When you are in these ranges, it might be difficult to get CSE particularly because of its demand. Other specializations in Computer Science, such as CS+AI or CS+Applied Math may give you more opportunitie

With 91.20% in PCM, your chances of getting admission into the Computer Science branch at MBM Engineering College, Jodhpur, are very good, provided you have a competitive JEE Main rank as well. MBM is a government engineering college under Rajasthan Technical University, known for its affordable fees, usually around seventy thousand rupees per year. During counselling, higher-ranked students get priority for popular branches like CSE, so keep an eye on the latest cut-off trends.

With a JEE Mains rank of approximately twelve lakh, it is unfortunately not possible to secure a B.Tech in Computer Science seat at any IIIT or GFTI through the main JoSAA rounds. These institutes typically close admissions for CSE below around fifty thousand rank for open category, with even less popular GFTIs and IIITs not stretching anywhere close to twelve Lacs rank.
You may wish to explore private engineering colleges where cut-offs are more flexible or consider state-level counseling where some self-financed or university colleges accept higher ranks. For IIITs and GFTIs, this rank is simply not competitive for CSE seats in
