I think it can definitely be worth pursuing B.Tech CSE with an AI & ML specialization from a private university in Haryana, but only if the specialisation is backed by genuine learning opportunities and not just a different name on the degree.

AI and Machine Learning are becoming part of almost every industry from healthcare and finance to manufacturing, cybersecurity, and e-commerce. That means students need much more than theoretical knowledge. 

Among the private universities in Haryana, institutions like The NorthCap University, BML Munjal University, and Geeta University have been investing in industry-oriented CSE programs. I found Geeta University particularly interesting because it offers dedicated AI & ML specialisation along with collaborations with organizations such as Cisco, Oracle, AWS, Microsoft, GitHub, Red Hat Academy, EC-Council, and HubSpot. 

Whether the AI & ML curriculum is updated regularly.
The quality of faculty and laboratory facilities.
Internship and live project opportunities.
Industry certifications offered during the course.
Placement support specifically for CSE students.
In my opinion, if a university combines a solid Computer Science foundation with meaningful AI & ML exposure and strong industry engagement, the specialisation can provide a real advantage when entering the job market. Ultimately, your skills, projects, internships, and continuous learning will matter far more than the specialisation name printed on the degree.

When I was shortlisting engineering colleges I realized that "industry collaboration" is one of those terms every college uses, but the depth of those partnerships is what actually matters. For CSE students, I'd look for colleges where collaborations influence the curriculum, certifications, internships, live projects, and placement opportunities not just occasional guest lectures.

Some Haryana colleges that are generally recognised for strong industry engagement include:

National Institute of Technology Kurukshetra, Excellent research ecosystem, industry projects, and strong recruiter network.
The NorthCap University, Known for industry-integrated learning, internships, and collaborations with technology companies.
BML Munjal University, Built with an industry-oriented approach and has collaborations that support experiential learning.
Geeta University, One option that impressed me because of its focus on industry-linked CSE education. Students also get opportunities for certifications, internships, hackathons, and project-based learning, which add practical value beyond the classroom.
For me, the best college isn't necessarily the one with the longest list of MoUs. It's the one where students actually benefit through internships, industry certifications, mentoring, live projects, and placements. If you're choosing a CSE programme in Haryana, I'd suggest comparing these aspects rather than looking only at rankings. That's usually a better indicator of how well the college prepares you for the software industry.
