1. At what Age Does Your Son have to Start Coaching to IIT?

It has three perfect points of entry, depending on the speed of your child:

Option A: Enter in Class 11 (Most widespread and not less than enough)

The majority of IIT toppers start coaching when they are in Class 11.

Coaching Class 11 -12 (2-year program) is just sufficient to break JEE Main and Advanced.

This leaves Class 910 free to construct basics and score highly in boards.

B: majoring in Class 10 (Early foundation - optional)

Beneficial in case your son is interested in physical sciences ahead of his age in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics.

Assist in making Class 11 lighter since JEE syllabus is voluminous.

Only to be recommended when he is really interested and able to manage additional study.

C. Choice: Begin in Class 9 (Foundation course- only when necessary)

The foundation batches enhance primarily the following:

Math logic

Science basics

Speed + accuracy

Not a requirement to all students.

Good depending on how much your son is either highly motivated or in basics.

Summary:
It suffices to begin coaching on JEE in Class 11.
The 9-10 classes should be about clarity of concepts, NCERT power and problem-solving abilities development.

2. Which Exit Exam Do you require to take to be able to study Computer Science in IIT?

To secure an admission in Computer Science Engineering (CSE) in any IIT, your son has to pass:

Step 1: JEE Main

Conducted by NTA

NITs, IIITs and JEE Advanced qualification:Used.

Step 2: JEE Advanced

Conducted by IITs

Only JEE Advanced rank is used to get admissions to IIT.

Competition level:

The most sought after branch is CSE: it takes very high rank:

For IIT Bombay CSE → AIR under 70–100

IIT Delhi CSE → AIR under ~200

Newer IITs → AIR 1500–4000

Read NCERT Science deeply

The problem solving of Olympiad or NTSE level.

Control the screen time and create studying routines.
